AI in precision medicine

Our first class was held on January 26, 2025, delivered online through the Faculty Development Office at SUNY Upstate Medical University under the leadership of Dr. Ann S. Botash (Associate Dean) and Dr. Sriram S. Narsipur. Dr. Rodd was the main instrctur with Dr. Sabouri Rad and Mr. Choudhary, Senior Informatics Engineer, served as co-instructors for the session. The class provided an overview of machine learning applications in precision medicine.

Feb 27th, 2025

Our second class was held on February 27, 2025, conducted in person with an audience of 39 participants and many additional attendees joining online. The session was organized through the Faculty Development Office at SUNY Upstate Medical University under the leadership of Dr. Ann S. Botash (Associate Dean) and Dr. Sriram S. Narsipur. The instructional team was led by Dr Rodd, while Dr. Mary Hartlander as the first co-instructor, joined by Dr. Sabouri Rad and Mr. Choudhary, Senior Informatics Engineer. The program carried additive credit and continued the series on artificial intelligence in medicine, expanding on applications of machine learning and clinical integration.

DataMind

The DataMind Initiative at SUNY Upstate Medical University is designed to foster collaboration between computational scientists and clinical faculty by providing expertise in machine learning, data science, and advanced analytics. Through regular meetings and consultations, the initiative engages with faculty across departments to identify research challenges, explore opportunities for applying ML methods, and co-develop solutions tailored to specific scientific and clinical problems. By bridging technical innovation with real-world medical needs, DataMind serves as both a resource and a catalyst for accelerating translational research and enabling impactful discoveries.
