AI Symposium at SUNY Upstate Medical University

The AI Symposium at SUNY Upstate Medical University will bring together researchers, clinicians, data scientists, and industry partners to explore the transformative role of artificial intelligence in personalized healthcare. The event will highlight innovations at the intersection of machine learning, clinical informatics, computational biology, and medical imaging aimed at improving diagnosis, treatment, and patient outcomes.
The program will feature keynote talks from national leaders, panel discussions, and research presentations addressing AI-driven biomarker discovery, multimodal data integration, predictive modeling, and clinical decision support systems. Discussions will also emphasize responsible AI adoption, health equity, and translating computational advances into clinical practice.
The symposium will showcase the growing AI research ecosystem at SUNY Upstate and regional institutions through poster presentations from faculty, trainees, and collaborators. By fostering collaboration across academia, healthcare, and industry, the event aims to accelerate the development of AI technologies that enable data-driven, patient-centered care.

Trainee Poster & Oral Presentation Competition

The SUNY Upstate AI Symposium will include a Trainee Poster and Oral Presentation Competition to highlight the innovative work of students, postdoctoral fellows, and other trainees working in artificial intelligence and related fields. Participants will present their research through posters or short talks, and their contributions will be evaluated by a panel of judges based on scientific quality, innovation, and presentation. This competition aims to encourage emerging researchers, foster scientific exchange, and recognize outstanding trainee contributions to AI-driven research.

Abstract Submission
Abstract submissions are invited from faculty, trainees, and collaborators interested in presenting their work at the SUNY Upstate AI Symposium. Submissions may include research related to artificial intelligence in healthcare, such as machine learning, clinical informatics, medical imaging, computational biology, digital pathology, and other AI-driven approaches that advance patient care. Authors should prepare their abstracts using the official symposium template to ensure consistency in formatting and review. The template, along with submission instructions, can be downloaded from the following link:
